The PasQuali Story

A Modern Fairytale Built on Loss, Love, and Reclaimed Materials

PasQuali Paints was born in the space between anticipatory grief and unimaginable loss. Founder Anthony Marra began creating alongside his granddaughters, and those quiet moments of shared imagination grew into something much larger. The brand carries the memory of his youngest granddaughter, Salem, forward through the Luna Moth, a symbol woven into the company's educational mission. Two hearts represent his other granddaughters and the paths they continue to forge. Out of that deeply personal origin came PasQuali, a character built on the belief that anyone can write their own fairytale through art. The mission is not to sell a finished object. It is to create a memory-making moment that keeps the people and places we love alive in the most colorful way possible.

Serving Myrtle Beach, Pawleys Island, Surfside Beach, North Myrtle Beach, Murrells Inlet, and Georgetown.

Our Mission and Values

A Community Art Studio Rooted in Purpose

As a community art studio serving the Grand Strand and surrounding coastal communities, PasQuali Paints operates at the intersection of environmental responsibility and heartfelt storytelling. We work exclusively with reclaimed materials art practices, meaning every canvas, every kit, and every collaborative mural starts with something that already existed. Our long-standing relationship with South Carolina State Parks has made public green spaces a hub for the kind of sustainable creative activities that bridge conservation and community. The art we make together is never just decoration. It is proof that a greener, more connected community begins with the simple act of sitting side by side and creating something new from what others left behind.

The PasQuali Paints Difference

Purpose in Every Brushstroke

From families navigating loss to businesses seeking meaningful community impact, PasQuali Paints meets people where they are and invites them into a creative process that is both approachable and deeply intentional. Here is what sets our work apart from generic craft providers.

Reclaimed Materials Only

We build every project from items that were originally intended to be discarded. This is not an aesthetic choice. It is a firm operational standard that reflects our belief in thoughtful use and reuse.

Story-Driven Experiences

Every kit, mural, and event is built around a specific story, whether that belongs to a family, a neighborhood, a nonprofit, or a coastal habitat. The art is the vehicle. The memory is the product.

Conservation Education Built In

Sustainability education is not a side offering. It is woven into every project through the "What else could this become?" approach, making environmental thinking a natural part of the creative process.

Common Questions

Answers About Our Sustainable Art Experiences

  • How is a memory-making event different from a regular art class?

A memory-making event is a facilitated gathering where the shared experience of creating together is the primary purpose, not the production of a polished finished piece. Unlike a traditional art class focused on technique, these events are built around a specific story, cause, or community connection. Participants work with reclaimed and repurposed materials, and the result is both a tangible piece of collaborative art and a shared memory that reflects the people who made it. PasQuali Paints designs these events for families, neighborhood groups, nonprofits, and community organizations across the South Carolina coast.

  • How does PasQuali Paints support mitochondrial disease awareness?

PasQuali Paints raises awareness for mitochondrial disease through its connection to the Cure Mito Foundation, a cause central to the brand's founding story. Founder Anthony Marra established the brand in part to honor his youngest granddaughter, Salem, who is represented throughout the brand by the Luna Moth symbol. The Luna Moth is tied directly to the company's educational mission and its ongoing advocacy work. Custom projects and events can be designed to incorporate Cure Mito awareness, and a portion of the brand's broader community work supports this cause.

  • Can a local business sponsor a sustainable art project through PasQuali Paints?

Yes. PasQuali Paints offers sponsorship opportunities specifically for businesses and organizations that want to invest in real community impact. Sponsorships connect your brand to participation-led art projects, coastal conservation initiatives, and cause-aligned work including Cure Mito awareness efforts. The result is an active, visible presence in the community rather than a logo on a banner. Projects begin with a consultation to align the sponsorship goals with the brand's mission and the specific story the project will tell.

  • What materials does PasQuali Paints use and why are they considered eco-friendly?

PasQuali Paints works exclusively with reclaimed, repurposed, and discarded materials. The core principle is thoughtful use and reuse: every item incorporated into a project was originally destined to be thrown away. This approach reflects the brand's guiding mandate, which is that if it's not greener, it's not worth doing. By using materials that already exist rather than purchasing new supplies, every project actively reduces waste and models the kind of environmental choices that matter in coastal communities like those along the South Carolina Grand Strand.

  • What areas along the South Carolina coast does PasQuali Paints serve?

PasQuali Paints is based in Myrtle Beach, SC and serves the broader Grand Strand and surrounding coastal communities, including Pawleys Island, Surfside Beach, North Myrtle Beach, Murrells Inlet, and Georgetown. The brand also works in partnership with South Carolina State Parks, using public green spaces as locations for community art projects and sustainability education programs. For large-scale custom installations and certain original works, the service model is localized due to the logistical challenges of transporting large pieces.

  • Are custom painting kits only for large groups, or can families order them too?

Custom painting kits from PasQuali Paints are designed with groups in mind, but the definition of a group is flexible. Families, neighborhood gatherings, classroom settings, and nonprofit fundraisers all qualify. Each kit is customized to reflect a specific cause, local history, or personal story, which makes them meaningful for intimate family experiences as well as larger community events. Unlike generic craft kits, these are built around a narrative purpose, so the size of the group matters less than the story the kit is meant to tell.

  • Is there a way to support the PasQuali Paints mission without commissioning a full project?

Yes. PasQuali Paints offers apparel and merchandise including stickers, magnets, hats, and paper products. These items are designed as portable versions of the mission, allowing supporters to wear the art and share the story even when original large-scale works are not practical to transport or purchase. Revenue from merchandise helps fund the brand's larger community and charitable initiatives, so buying a sticker or a hat is a genuine way to participate in the broader mission of building greener, more connected communities along the South Carolina coast.

  • What happens during the consultation before a custom project begins?

Most meaningful PasQuali Paints projects begin with a consultation that functions as a collaborative narrative session rather than a standard sales meeting. The goal is to understand the theme, the participants, the cause being honored, and the story the project should tell. From there, the scope, participant volume, and materials are defined in alignment with the brand's sustainability standards and your specific goals. This step is a required part of the process for custom sustainable art projects and larger memory-making events, ensuring that every project is genuinely built around the community it serves.
